This is the perfect "starter" or "beginner" security DVR. But calling it those names does it a real dis-service. The Nubix 4 is a 4-camera DVR with all the professional features found in its 16-camera version (Nubix 16). Easy to setup, easy to program, its designed for private locations, residential settings, and smaller commercial locations OR as an expansion to an existing surveillance system. The Nubix 4 connects to 4 CCTV cameras (max.) and provides a great combination of features that make it ideal for many applications. It even has a Point of Sale (P.O.S.) interface (for up to 4 ATMs or cash registers).

This "starter" security DVR offers features normally available only with higer priced surveillance products. MPEG4 video compression allows you to store hundreds of hours of surveillance images. Control Pan/Tilt/Zoom dome cameras. Connect it to a LAN for remote viewing. Use your IE browser or our client software to view your installation anywhere in the world over the internet. A CD R/W drive lets you transport and backup files. Motion detection maximizes hard disk drive usage by storing video ONLY when the monitored area sees movement (fully user programmable using a simple on-screen grid setup). The 4 loop-back connectors offer some simple monitor expansion - connect a camera to the loop-back connector then connect another video cable at that location and connect it to a monitor you have elsewhere if you like. An administrator function lets you specifiy a password to prevent unathorized tampering with the controls while you are away. These professional features set this DVR apart from the competition.

Monitor POS (Point Of Sale), ATM Operations and Property Access!

POS Text Insertion is becoming more and more popular with business owners who use electronic cash register transactions. Industry studies consistently identify "shrinkage" as the largest drain on store profitability. Closed circuit television reduces shoplifting and vendor theft but CCTV alone cannot minimize employee theft which accounts for over 40% of shrinkage in retail stores.

Nubix DVRs perform intelligent text insertion. Unlike third party solutions (external POS text generator plus register plus DVR/VCR) which only overlay text on the video, Nubix DVRs can generate a searchable database that can be viewed along with the video. Use the database to perform a text based search for looking up receipts with specific words or numbers on them. This text insertion function is also available during Access Control Integration using Eclipse Access Control software. Your client can keep an eye on each access controlled door and record the users name, department, face and user code. They can later search for any of these details. INVALID entry attempts from de-activated or defective cards can also be recorded, as well as entry attempts made outside of normal entry hours.

This Nubix DVR can monitor up to 4 cash registers or POS devices, while other similar DVRs can usually connect to only 1, if they have this feature at all!
